3D rendering cost in India, going by 276 public asking prices we checked on 22 October 2026, centres on about ₹5,500 for an exterior view and ₹4,500 for an interior view. Those are medians. Single listings run from ₹500 to ₹45,000 an image, walkthroughs sit near ₹20,000 a minute, and per-sq-ft quotes are almost impossible to compare.

Below is the full index with its method, what pushes a quote up, a worked budget for a G+1 house, and an honest view of where AI rendering fits.

Key takeaways

  • Median asking price: ₹5,500 for an exterior view (12 prices), ₹4,500 for an interior view (34 prices). Half of all interior views sat between ₹3,000 and ₹5,000.
  • Walkthroughs: a median of ₹20,000 a minute. Per-second sellers ask ₹700 to ₹2,500 a second, or ₹42,000 to ₹1,50,000 a minute.
  • Per-sq-ft rendering quotes ran from ₹3 to ₹299. Convert every quote to rupees per finished image first.
  • Bundles cost less per image. One Ahmedabad studio lists five exteriors for ₹16,000, against ₹8,000 for one small-house view.
  • AI rendering suits early options and quick client checks. Final marketing images that must match approved drawings still justify a studio.

How much does 3D rendering cost in India in 2026?

A single photoreal still costs about ₹4,500 to ₹5,500 at the median of what Indian sellers list publicly, and a walkthrough about ₹20,000 a minute. The table below is our snapshot of 276 asking prices, grouped by the unit each seller used, because the unit changes the bill more than the rate does.

"Middle half" is the 25th to 75th percentile, our arithmetic. It is the better guide when one or two sellers sit far out at either end.

Range chart of 3D render asking prices in India checked on 22 October 2026: exterior views from ₹800 to ₹16,000 with a median of ₹5,500, interior views from ₹500 to ₹45,000 with a median of ₹4,500, aerial views at ₹15,000 and ₹16,000, and 3D floor plans from ₹999 to ₹6,000 with a median of ₹3,000

How we built the index

On 22 October 2026 we read every priced listing on IndiaMART's all-India pages for 3D rendering services, architectural rendering, 3D interior rendering, interior 3D visualisation, photorealistic renderings, 3D floor plans and 3D architectural walkthroughs (plus a second walkthrough page). We also read the city rendering pages for Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata, and the floor-plan pages for four of those cities. Then we added the published rate cards of Yantram Studio in Ahmedabad and MS8studio in Salem, and two single-seller pages.

That gave 480 unique priced entries. We removed 204 of them:

  • 59 per-sq-ft prices of ₹300 or more. Nobody renders at ₹3,000 a square foot; these are project prices typed into the wrong box.
  • 35 listings that were not architectural, such as product, automotive, medical and software work.
  • 32 per-day rates, and 20 with units we could not read, such as "per set" or "per visit".
  • 17 walkthroughs priced per piece or per sq ft, and 17 floor-plan listings for 2D planning rather than 3D plans.
  • 7 priced "per square inch", 2 under ₹500 an image, and 1 package for a whole 1BHK.
  • 14 repeats. Where a seller listed several prices in one category, we kept the lowest, so nobody counts twice.

Many interior sellers price per "piece", which we read as one image. These are asking prices, not invoices. Fiverr, Upwork and Truelancer blocked our automated checks, so freelance gig prices are not here. Rendered 360° panoramas had too few clearly priced listings to report at all.

How much does a 3D render cost per view?

Most single views are listed between ₹3,000 and ₹8,000 (27 of the 46 per-view prices), and the middle of the market is ₹4,500 for an interior and ₹5,500 for an exterior. Studios that publish their own rate cards sit at that middle or a little above it.

Yantram Studio in Ahmedabad lists a small-house exterior from ₹8,000 a view, a residential exterior from ₹10,000, an aerial view from ₹15,000, a small room interior from ₹5,000 and a residential interior from ₹7,000. MS8studio in Salem lists a day view at ₹5,000 to ₹6,000 an image and a night view at ₹6,000.

Look twice at the edges. At the top, two sellers, in Bengaluru and Pune, list an interior "piece" at ₹45,000; ask what a piece contains. At the bottom, three interior listings sit between ₹500 and ₹800. At that price, ask for three recent images made for the same fee.

Why are per-sq-ft rendering quotes so hard to compare?

Because the same rate can mean very different bills. In our snapshot, 98 rendering listings were priced per sq ft, and the price field says only "sq ft", not which square feet: the face being drawn, the room, or the whole built-up area.

At the median of ₹32.50, a quote on 2,000 sq ft of built-up area comes to ₹65,000 (our arithmetic). That buys about 14 interior views at the median per-view price. 3D floor plans show the same gap: ₹10 a sq ft on a 1,000 sq ft floor is ₹10,000, while the three sellers who price per plan ask ₹999 to ₹6,000. We drew this trap with a diagram in our 3D elevation design cost guide, where one rate on the front face versus the built-up area differs about three times for the same house.

What moves the price of a 3D render?

Five things move a render quote most: whether a 3D model already exists, how many views you buy, the type of view, the building type, and how many changes are included.

What changes Why What the snapshot shows
Model supplied or built from 2D Building the model is often most of the work Rarely stated; ask
Number of views Same model, more cameras Yantram: 5 exteriors ₹16,000 vs ₹8,000 for one. MS8: 4 day views ₹16,000
Aerial view Roads, trees and neighbours get built too ₹15,000 and ₹16,000 vs ₹5,500 median exterior
Night or dusk Every light is set up and tested MS8: night ₹6,000, the top of its day range
Building type Bigger scenes take longer Yantram: small house ₹8,000, commercial ₹10,000; small room ₹5,000, office ₹10,000
Revisions Each round is rework Rarely stated; get it in writing
People, cars, landscaping Each item is placed and lit Rarely priced separately
Resolution and turnaround Big files and rush jobs cost time Rarely stated; ask
The same modern house shown four ways side by side: a photoreal render, an architectural visualisation, a drone view from above and a watercolour sketch
One building, four output styles. Example tiles from Velocity AOI's Exterior Rendering tool. Illustrative.

Style matters too. A watercolour or sketch-style image is a different brief from a photoreal hero shot, so name the style before you ask for a price.

What does a full render set cost for a G+1 house?

About ₹50,000 at median listed prices, for six stills, two 3D floor plans and a 30-second walkthrough. Here is the arithmetic for a G+1 on a 30×40 plot.

Item Basis (index median) Our arithmetic
Front and corner exterior, day ₹5,500 a view ₹11,000
Dusk exterior ₹5,500 a view ₹5,500
Living-dining, kitchen and two bedrooms ₹4,500 a view ₹18,000
3D floor plans, ground and first ₹3,000 a plan (only three prices) ₹6,000
30-second walkthrough ₹20,000 a minute, pro rata ₹10,000
Total, before tax ₹50,500

Three checks on that number:

  1. Bundles pull it down. Yantram lists five exteriors plus a 30-second walkthrough for ₹45,000.
  2. Per-sq-ft quotes pull it up. On about 2,000 sq ft of built-up area, the median per-sq-ft rate gives ₹65,000 for stills alone.
  3. Pro rata for 30 seconds is our assumption. Ask whether the seller has a minimum length, and whether GST is extra.

How much does a 3D walkthrough cost in India?

The median listed price was ₹20,000 a minute across 27 sellers, with the middle half between ₹8,000 and ₹39,000. Five sellers price per second instead, at ₹700 to ₹2,500 a second. That is ₹42,000 to ₹1,50,000 a minute (our arithmetic), well above most per-minute quotes, and Yantram's ₹1,250 to ₹1,450 a second sits inside it.

Our earlier snapshot of 50 walkthrough listings on 20 October 2026 also landed on a ₹20,000 per-minute median. For lengths, briefs and the four questions to ask a studio, read our architectural walkthrough video guide.

Which AI is good for 3D rendering, and where does it fit?

The useful AI rendering tool is the one that keeps your geometry. Use it for early options, material tests and quick client checks, and keep a studio for final marketing images that must match approved drawings exactly.

For reference, here is what three well-known AI rendering tools list as their entry price. We have not tested them for this post; it is a price check, not a review.

Tool How you use it Entry price listed on 22 Oct 2026
Chaos Veras Inside SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, Archicad or Vectorworks US$16.90 a month (Starter, billed annually at US$202.80)
mnml.ai Web app, with plug-ins for SketchUp, Revit and Rhino US$29 a month (Lite, billed monthly)
ArchiVinci Web app for exterior and interior images US$39 a week, or US$79 a month

Velocity AOI's Exterior Rendering is built for that first job. It takes a SketchUp or Revit view, a sketch or a massing model, keeps the geometry, and returns a photoreal 4K exterior in about 30 seconds. Realistic People, 4K Upscale and Walkthrough Video sit in the same suite for the next steps.

A studio still wins on a hero image for a RERA-registered project that must match the sanctioned plans, a stone the client has already chosen, or a 90-second township film. Those need a model, a physically based engine and a person accountable for every detail. Our guide to AI rendering for architects sets out that split, and if you model in SketchUp, our SketchUp AI render guide compares three routes.

What should you send a visualiser for an accurate quote?

Send the drawings, the exact views, the materials and the terms in one go. Vague briefs get padded quotes, and padded quotes get argued about later.

  1. Drawings: plans, elevations and sections as PDF or DWG, with floor and parapet heights. Say whether a SketchUp or Revit model already exists.
  2. Views: a marked plan showing each camera, and which ones are day, dusk or night.
  3. Materials: paint shades, cladding, flooring and railings, with photos or brand codes.
  4. Site: plot photos, the road side, neighbours' heights and any big trees.
  5. Output: resolution, aspect ratio (4:5 for Instagram, wide for a hoarding) and file format.
  6. Revisions: how many rounds are included, and the price of one more.
  7. Terms: deadline, payment stages, and whether GST is on top.
  8. References: three images you like and one you dislike.

FAQ

How much does 3D rendering cost per view in India?

In our snapshot of public asking prices on 22 October 2026, the median was ₹5,500 for an exterior view (12 prices) and ₹4,500 for an interior view (34 prices). Most single views were listed between ₹3,000 and ₹8,000. Aerial views cost more, at ₹15,000 and ₹16,000 in the two prices we found, and bundles of four or five views cost less per image.

What are 3D rendering charges per sq ft in India?

Rendering listings priced per sq ft ran from ₹3 to ₹299 in our 22 October 2026 snapshot, with a median of ₹32.50 across 98 sellers. We left out 59 listings at ₹300 or more as project prices in the wrong field. Since the price field never says which area it means, turn any per-sq-ft quote into rupees per finished image before comparing it.

How much does 3D interior design cost per square foot?

Two different things share that phrase. A 3D interior render is a picture: in our snapshot interior views had a median of ₹4,500 each, and rendering quoted per sq ft a median of ₹32.50. Interior design and execution, meaning the carpentry, ceilings and lights in your flat, is priced very differently; our guide to interior design cost per sq ft covers it. Never compare a render quote with an execution quote.

How much should I charge for 3D rendering as a freelancer in India?

Start from the market middle and your own speed. In our snapshot the median asking price was ₹5,500 for an exterior view and ₹4,500 for an interior view, with the middle half of interior views between ₹3,000 and ₹5,000. Price per finished image, state the rounds of revisions and whether modelling is included, and offer a lower per-image rate for four or more views.

Is AI rendering cheaper than hiring a visualiser?

For early options, usually, because one person can test many views in an afternoon. Three well-known AI tools listed entry prices from US$16.90 a month (billed annually) to US$79 a month on 22 October 2026. You still spend your own time checking every image against the drawings, though, and final marketing images that must be exact are worth paying a studio for.

Before you ask for the next quote

Ask every seller for a rupee price per finished image, the number of revisions, and whether the model is included. Compare the answer with the medians above, not with the cheapest listing you can find. And if you want to settle views and materials before paying for the final set, try your own SketchUp or Revit view in Velocity AOI's Exterior Rendering first.
